Marc Linsner

Associate

Marc is an associate in the brands, designs and copyright team, having joined Bristows as a trainee in 2016. Marc works on advisory and contentious matters relating to all “soft” IP rights, as well as advertising regulations.

Recent litigation experience includes defending a client in the High Court against a passing off claim concerning the colour and shape of an asthma inhalers. Marc also has experience in general brand enforcement and protection advice, recently advising a multinational e-commerce, internet, and technology company in relation to potential trade mark infringement concerning the issuance and online trading of cryptocurrency.

During his time training at Bristows, Marc has gained exposure to a number of other practice areas at the firm including, patent litigation, EU & competition, commercial IP/IT and data protection. In addition, Marc has been seconded to a multinational technology company, where he gained valuable commercial experience in different aspects of IP and exposure to issues faced by the technology sector.
