New IT framework launched to deliver NHS digital transformation

NHS Supply Chain has launched an updated framework to enable Trusts to more easily procure digital solutions. It gives Trusts access to an expanded range of suppliers and technology products and services, from AI and analytics, to cloud-based software and bespoke solutions.

In our recent work advising health tech companies on government frameworks we have found many are inflexible and not suited to the adoption of emerging technologies.  

Hopefully the approach under this new framework will lend itself to leveraging those technologies. By this we mean that, for example, the procurement, contracting, IP protection, medical regulatory and data protection structures allow innovative companies to participate in the marketplace, while giving Trusts the confidence they need to buy and implement new solutions.
