Launch of the UK’s AI Standards Hub

Bristows was thrilled to join the launch event of the new AI Standards Hub this week, hosted by the Alan Turing Institute. Technical standards seem set to play a critical role in the development of the AI regulatory landscape in the next few years. The aim of the Hub is to empower a diverse range of stakeholders to understand technical standards for AI and to participate in the process of creating them. 

Participants at the launch event emphasised the importance of standards both as a governance tool and as an enabler of innovation. A workstream on standards for trustworthy AI is an early priority for the Hub.
