DMCC Act: plans for implementation announced

The Government has set out its plans for implementation of the DMCC Act. In particular, the Government aims to commence the provisions relating to competition law and the new digital markets competition regime in December 2024 or January 2025. The changes to consumer law will come later in April 2025 and Spring 2026. 

The Government is moving quickly noting the importance of implementing the DMCC Act as soon as possible so that businesses and consumers can reap its benefits. Find out more about the changes coming in our Spotlight Series on the DMCC Act
