EPO adopts “True Top 4” for unitary patent renewal fees

The Select Committee of the Administrative Council of the EPO met on 23/24 June 2015 and have adopted the Top 4 proposal for Unitary patent renewal fees. A majority of the EPO and participating EU Member States voted in favour of this proposal, thus rejecting the alternative Top 5 proposal.

Further news on implementing measures and the distribution key is expected in Autumn 2015.
