Thank you for the .music

One of the most anticipated generic top-level domains (gTLD) in recent times will drop for general availability on 8 October 2024.

This latest release allows musicians, artists, bands and other music industry professionals to apply for the new domain name .music.

However, trade mark holders should be mindful that owning a registered mark won’t necessarily guarantee them the number one spot in securing a domain containing it. Thankfully, there are measures, and monitoring services, available to mark holders to help protect their digital presence - as well as mitigate the threat from bad actors and cybersquatting - when new gTLDs are made available.

Please get in touch to explore how we can support you in not missing a beat when it comes to protecting your brand online.
